The achievement is worth rejoicing more than last year, since this year 70 more universities qualified in the ranking compared to the previous year. Among the new entrants, there were also many who took the positions of those who held high positions last year.

We are also honoring our neighbors in the South - the University of Latvia has rapidly improved its position, rising from 251–300 position to 147th.

THE Emerging Economies University Rankings is a regional ranking that ranks mainly Eastern, BRIC, Middle Eastern, Southeast Asian and African universities.

The ranking is based on 13 result indicators, which are divided into five major blocks: Teaching (the learning environment); Research (volume, income and reputation); Citations (research influence); International outlook (staff, students and research); and Industry income (knowledge transfer). According to this ranking, the greatest strength of Tallinn University is internationalisation, and with this indicator we are the most efficient university in Estonia.

This year, Tallinn University also qualified in another reputable ranking - QS World University Rankings by Subject, with two subject areas: education (251–300) and sociology (301–320.
