Times Higher Education (THE) published world education and social science rankings. It turned out that Tallinn University's educational sciences are still among the best in the world at 301–400.

The field of educational sciences of Tallinn University was also in the 301–400 position in the THE ranking last year. According to Tiia Õun, Director of the School of Educational Sciences of Tallinn University, the high place in the international ranking shows that the university has contributed to internationalisation, research and publishing. At the same time, the university has significantly improved the quality of teaching.

"We receive confirmation that the direction of our university in developing the focus area of ​​educational innovation has been effective and we have good inter-institutional cooperation in the field of education," said Tiia Õun.

In addition to educational sciences, the social sciences of Tallinn University are also represented in the international ranking, position 601+. The results in the field of humanities are not yet reflected in THE ranking.

The results of THE areas are formed according to five categories. These are teaching, research, reference, the impact of research, internationalisation and knowledge transfer.

In September this year, Times Higher Education published a general ranking of the world's universities, which showed that Tallinn University improved four indicators in the ranking: teaching, research, internationalisation and knowledge transfer. In the internationalisation category, the university significantly improved it's position. If last year the university received 64.3 points in this category, this year 69.5. In the general position of the ranking, the university is ranked 1001–1200.
