“Being established as a research university only in 2005, Tallinn University has taken its place among the world’s top universities in a very short time,” says Katrin Niglas, Vice-Rector for Research. “Tallinn University belongs to the 5% of the best universities in the world and we are particularly pleased to note that TLU is included in three subject rankings (Arts & Humanities, Social Sciences and in Education), which cover our five interdisciplinary focus areas.”

Above all, Katrin Niglas considers key to success our active and successful applications for international research projects, but also the international work and study environment and ambitious goals. “Receiving good results in ranking positions shows that even small universities can stand out in the world, but you have to think big, be confident in your strengths and use them in the best possible way,” says the Vice Rector for Research.
