Human Rights, Digital Futures, Real Impact - Anano’s Experience

Applying to Tallinn University’s Master’s program in Human Rights in the Digital Society was truly one of the best decisions I have made for my personal and professional growth.

With a background in international law, I was immediately interested in this program because very few universities explore how traditional legal principles apply to digital environments. As our lives increasingly take place online, understanding digital rights and digital jurisdiction has become not only relevant but necessary.

During the two-year program, we studied a range of current and future challenges in the digital world through practical and interactive coursework. One of the most memorable subjects for me focused on emerging new human rights that may become important as technology continues to evolve and the dignity of humans develops. We also gained hands-on experience by participating in International Court of Justice moot court. This experience strengthened my skills in legal research, critical thinking, and argumentation—skills that have already benefited me in my career.

I recommend this program because it gives a rare, practical understanding of human rights in the digital world, combines interactive learning with real legal experience, and provides skills that are directly useful for a future career.
