TÜHI celebrates once again the success of its MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship initiative

The School of Humanities at Tallinn University (TÜHI) has recently completed another successful round of applications for Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships. Launched in February 2024, this initiative attracted great interest worldwide, with over 50 scholars expressing their intention to apply, reflecting a wide range of academic disciplines.

From these applicants, TÜHI selected 10 candidates to participate in a 5-day onsite grant writing camp in June, as well as receive ongoing support in drafting and refining their applications until the submission deadline in September 2024. This cohort included international participants from Italy, China, Singapore, South Africa, India, the UK and Kazakhstan.

Out of the 9 finalized submissions, 2 were successfully funded—one through MSCA and another through the ERA. Additionally, 3 more applicants passed the qualification threshold. Those applicants who passed the threshold and applied to MSCA European Fellowships will be funded through ETAg incoming postdoctoral grants scheme.

The success of this call owes much to the dedication and expertise of Ruth Noyes, Stéphane Lobbedey, Xavier Dubois and Liisi Keedus, who participated in the training camp.

We are very proud of our new postdoctoral fellows and look forward to seeing how their diverse perspectives and expertise will continue to enrich TÜHI's academic community and broaden our research strengths.

Looking ahead, the  call for expressions of interest for the 2025 MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships is now open. We are eager to welcome new talented researchers to join our community and further advance our mission.
