Why did you decide to study Educational Innovation and Leadership at Tallinn University?
Choosing to study Educational Innovation and Leadership at Tallinn University was an easy decision for me. Having previously participated in the dynamic Tallinn Summer and Winter Schools, I had a sneak peek of the vibrant academic environment that awaited. And as an education enthusiast, finding a master's program that matched my passion was a dream come true.
How did you adapt to life in Estonia?
Adapting to life in Estonia, coming from Ukraine, was a relatively smooth ride for me. I found the lifestyle quite familiar, so it wasn't a major shock to my system. However, making new friends was a bit tricky at first, but once I got involved in various university activities like ESN, everything started falling into place. Engaging in extracurriculars proved to be the best decision, as it not only helped me make new friends but also enriched my overall student experience.
What were your biggest challenges and greatest joys on your study journey?
My study journey had its fair share of challenges and joys. The program's unconventional format was a perfect fit for me. We had a lot of freedom and flexibility, but this freedom came with a unique hurdle – the absence of tests. Instead of simply memorizing content for exams, we had to engage in critical thinking, analysis, and essay writing. It demanded more effort, but it also developed valuable skills. Nonetheless, the sense of accomplishment and personal growth I experienced made it all worthwhile, serving as my greatest joy throughout this educational adventure.
