Dr. Katrin Tiidenberg is a Professor of Participatory Culture at the Baltic Film, Media, Arts and Communication Institute of Tallinn University in Estonia. Her research focuses on people's practices and meaning making on social media. She serves on the Executive Board of the Estonian Young Academy of Sciences, and the Association of Internet Researchers. She is the author of the following books: "Sex and Social Media" (2020, with Emily van der Nagel), "Selfies, why we love (and hate) them" (2018), "Body and soul on the internet - making sense of social media" (in Estonian 2017). She is the co-editor (with Annette Markham) of the recent collection "Metaphors of Internet" (2020).
