The quality of teacher education is currently a matter of debate at the
national level throughout Europe. The crucial questions being proposed here
are:  - What  do educators understand as high quality in
teacher education and what are the ways in which it can be
researched, enhanced and delivered to ensure a high quality outcome?-
What  measures are required in order to develop quality cultures
within a teacher’s initial education, their induction into the profession
and in their continuing professional development? The Teacher Education
Policy in Europe Network (TEPE) was formally established at its inaugural
meeting in Tallinn in February 2007, with an overarching aim to develop
Teacher Education (TE) policy recommendations at the  institutional,
national and European level. The conference takes place from Thursday,
September 30th to Saturday, October 2nd, 2010 in Tallinn University (TU
Mare building, Uus-Sadama 5). The conference will be held in English. There
is no participation fee, but registration is needed.Additional
