iCal calendarFilms have been screened in Estonia since 1896 so the local cinematography extends over one hundred years.
What was expected from the cinema in the early years, what type of buildings were the films shown in, who and what influenced the film language and what are those films offering us today?
Everyone interested in finding answers to these questions are welcome to the international conference "Emerging Screen Sites/Sights: Cinema Culture around the Baltic Sea 1895-1920".Conference is held on June 18-19 in Tallinn University Baltic Film and Media School cinema hall. Besides exiting speeches some „new“ old material will be screened.
