Yes, the Metaverse is coming, but what exactly is it? 

Yes. That's the right question and that's what we should be focusing on for our students. The main point is that the future is uncertain, but we still can teach and prepare students for it. I believe educators in media, entertainment and all the creative arts should SHOW students what's possible, EDUCATE them on things that are already happening in media and adjacent industries that might be an indicator of this uncertain future, ENCOURAGE them to join in to shape the future of media, then STAND BACK... and TAKE CREDIT when they go off and create something amazing [kidding.... not kidding]

Bio:

Sean Branagan is a Fulbright Specialist from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University in New York, working at Tallinn University BFM this spring on a Media Entrepreneurship project with MEDIT. 

Sean is a serial entrepreneur, interactive marketer, educator, investor, and evangelist for innovation and startups. He is inaugural Director of the Center for Digital Media Entrepreneurship at Syracuse University's SI Newhouse School of Public Communications, Chief Instigator of Media-Nxt.org, Creator of Student Startup Madness (at SXSW), a national collegiate startup tournament, and Chairman of Scrappy Capital, LLC, a seed fund for rising tech cities. He sold a dot-com company to a public company in 1999, was founder and president of a technology marketing firm, and started other ventures. He holds board and advisory board positions with several early-stage tech companies, and serves on a number of charitable boards.
