Professor Anastassia Zabrodskaja Elected as President Elect of the International Association of Language and Social Psychology (IALSP)

Tallinn University Baltic Film, Media and Arts School is proud to announce that Professor of Intercultural Communication, Dr. Anastassia Zabrodskaja, has been elected as the President Elect of the International Association of Language and Social Psychology (IALSP) for the 2024-2026 term.

Following her term as President Elect, Professor Anastassia Zabrodskaja will serve as the President of IALSP from 2026-2028, followed by two years as Immediate Past President from 2028-2030. She expressed her immense gratitude and excitement for the opportunity to contribute to the global academic community, thanking her colleagues for their support and encouragement. According to Professor Anastassia Zabrodskaja, this is not only her achievement but also recognition of Tallinn University’s strong commitment to the intercultural communication field.

Professor Anastassia Zabrodskaja has been an active member of IALSP since 2011 and has served as the Regional Representative (Europe) on the Executive Committee since 2020. In June 2024, she organized the 18th International Conference on Language and Social Psychology (ICLASP18) at Tallinn University. Her research expertise spans the social psychology of language, with a focus on bilingual speech, language ideologies, and intergenerational language transmission within ethnolinguistically diverse families in Estonia. She has led several research projects analyzing language dynamics and acculturation processes, including the experiences of international students in Estonia.
