Ceremony to Lay the Cornerstone for the TU Silva Building Extension

A cornerstone will be laid for the new TU Silva building extension at a
ceremony on Friday, March 18 at 15:00 at Narva Road 27/29.The building will
provide a new and contemporary home for the following institutes: the
Institute of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Institute of Informatics,
Institute of Ecology, Institute of Psychology, Institute of Political
Science and Governance, and the Institute of International and Social
Studies. A number of centres established in co-operation with several
institutes will also benefit from this building extension. The Centre for
the Studies of Natural and Artificial Environment, the Knowledge Transfer
Centre, which focuses on strengthening the ties between the university and
the business sector, the Centre for Sustainable Living Environment and
other centres yet to be established will all benefit from being located in
these new and expanded premises.As a result of this project, which will
have added 12,000 square metres of space, 236 people will be working in the
premises of the new building.Everyone is welcome to attend the cornerstone
