A conference on bioarchaeology entitled "Past People around the Baltic Sea"
for bioarchaeologists from countries arount the Baltic region will be held
at Tallinn University Institute of History on August
22–23.Bioarchaeologists representing a total of thirteen
universities and research institutions from eight countries, including
Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the United Kingdom
and Estonia will gather in Tallinn for the conference.The concept of
regular meetings for bioarchaeologists from countries arount the Baltic Sea
evolved  during the 16th Congress of the European Anthropological
Association (Odense, Denmark) held in 2008. The first conference took place
in Vilnius in 2009. This second conference will be held at Tallinn
University Institute of History, where research on ancient people and
historical populations has been conducted for 60 years.For further
