The Institute of Informatics is inviting everyone interested to a crash course titled as: "Introduction to MATLAB Programming Environment", taught by an international lecturer Alin Pohoata (Valahia University Targoviste, Romania).

Course description:
The course covers fundamentals of programming concepts and skills needed for basic problem solving, using MATLAB programming environment.
MATLAB is a powerful software package that has built-in functions to accomplish a diverse range of tasks, from mathematical operations to three-dimensional imaging. Additionally, MATLAB has a complete set of programming constructs that allow users to customize programs to their own specifications.  
Being a programmable and easy to understand environment MATLAB suits not only mathematicians but for a large variety of programmers.

Topics covered:
  1. Introduction to MATLAB.
  2. Drawing graphics with MATLAB.
  3. Elements of statistics with MATLAB.
  4. Using Excel sheets in MATLAB.
Expected audience:
Open to anyone interested in exploring the possibilities of MATLAB. 

This crash course is for gaining extra curricular knowledge, without any exams or credit points.
