English and German Olympiads

The National Olympiads in both the English and German language will
commence on Friday, March 4 at 10:00 at Tallinn University. Pupils from
general education schools who have won the Olympiad in their home counties,
are eligible to compete in the National Olympiad contest.This year a new
record was set for the number of participants at the regional level with
897 competing in the English language and 256 in the German language.The
closing ceremony of the Olympiads will be held on Saturday, March 5 between
12:30–13:30 in the atrium of TU Mare building (Uus-Sadama 5). The
ceremony is organized in cooperation with a British Council project
“Language Rich Europe”.The Olympiads are organized by Tallinn
University in conjunction with the Ministry of Education and Science, and
are supported by the British Council, British embassy, the embassies of
Austria, Switzerland, the Federal Republic of Germany and the Goethe
Institute/German Culture Institute of Tallinn.For more information
