EARMA: Hundreds of research administrators and organisers meet at Tallinn

iCal calendarFrom 30 June till 2 July, Tallinn University will host the 20th Annual Conference of the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA), which will be attended by approximately 600 participants.
The conference “Widening participation: excellence, impact and professionalism” focuses on cross-border research cooperation, activities of the Horizon 2010 programme, research politics and the practice and professional development of research managers and administrators.
Over fifty presentations and workshops will be held at the conference, during which about 600 participants will hear about the newest research funding plans of the European Commission and experiences of different countries and research establishments in the field of research organization.
At this year´s conference, the EARMA introduces the two-year training programme for European research organizers. People who complete the programme will receive a Certificate of Competency - the first in Europe in this field and a goal the association has been working towards for three years.
The conference participants are from all over the world and in cooperation with the Estonian Research Agency, the participants are offered the possibility of visiting Estonian universities in both Tartu and Tallinn, after the conference.
