Dr. Ringvee is also a published poet and hosts "Reggae Power" on Estonian Radio 2.
He will be speaking about: Ethnic minorities and their religions in Estonia.
Estonia is know as one of the most un-godly countries. The image of un-godliness and secularity has become a part of the self-understanding of Estonians. However, the situation is a little bit different with ethnic minorities to whom religion has, aside from purely religious significances, also other functions.
This presentation will consider:
- Are all ethnic Russians affilited with the Orthodox Church?
- And how has Islam in Estonia, once religion only for Tatars, changed in the 21st century?
