International Conference "Down to Earth"

An international conference entitled "Down to Earth" will be held at
Tallinn University on 16-17 May 2013 - the second such conference to be
presented by the Doctoral School of Earth Sciences and Ecology.The title of
the conference "Down to Earth" reflects the agenda of the conference and
the subjects to be presented. The aim is to provide an opportunity for
doctoral students to present their research. This conference is ideal for
doctoral students to gather and exchange ideas with other doctoral students
and researchers from both Estonia and abroad.In addition to doctoral
students, some well-known researchers have been invited as keynote
speakers: Marie-Jose Gaillard-Lemdahl (Sweden), Ülo Niinemets (Estonia),
Atte Korhola (Finland), Giorgio Anfuso (Spain), Jack Holbrook (Visiting
Professor, University of

submitting proposals is 19 March.Doctoral students have organized this
conference and the working language is English.The Conference is open to
everybody and FREE of charge.The deadline for registration is 16 April.
Registration is open here.The conference organizers may provide full or
partial financial support for doctoral students to cover travel and/or
accommodation costs on a competitive basis. Applicants who submit an
abstract for the presentation will be favoured. Request for funding should
