New photo-exhibitions, by two young artists Andrei Kulpin and Aleksei
Gordin, entitled “Distortion of Time” and “Duality” are on
display at the TU Estonian Institute of Humanities gallery (3rd floor
corridor, TU Mare building, Uus-Sadama 5). The young photographers are
interested in the different shapes, faces and colours of the landscape.
Andrei Kulpin’s works entitled “The distortion of Time” are
photos made with a long shutter that makes the photos look surrealistic and
unreal. Aleksei Gordini is more into the earthly creatures. His series
entitled “Duality”, shows the interaction and the merging of
people and landscape, depicting the dependance of one into the other. The
curator of the exhibition is Kristina Kivirand, a student in the EIH
Cultural Theory Master’s programme. The current exhibition will remain on
display until February 8. The EIH Photogallery will continue the photo
exhibition featuring other artists and students from the university.
