The survey conducted among Tallinn University’s foreign students revealed that the main reason for coming to study in Estonia was that they did not want to go to a popular destination, but wished to study somewhere where they've never been. The second reason choosing Tallinn and Estonia is that friends and acquaintances have suggested Estonia as a country to receive a good education. Finally, the third argument for international students choosing Estonia is that support system for foreign students is known to be well-effective in Estonian universities – student advisers and international student clubs help students to adapt to the new environment.

Currently, most popular programme on master’s level in Tallinn University has been International Relations (with 86 applications), and on bachelor’s level Law (with 77 applications).
