Sustainable Development Education Centre started work in Tallinn University's Institute of Ecology. The Centre's main aim is to develop modern interdisciplinary research areas in sustainable development, sustainable development education, including higher education.
Sustainable Development Education Centre started work in Tallinn University's Institute of Ecology. The first project of the Centre is to hold free trainings about the environment and sustainable development to specialists from various nature centres, wildlife preserves, national parks, private hobby schools, NGOs and others.
The cyclical training sessions start in November and take place in Tallinn, Haapsalu, Paide and Viljandi, plus a 3-day study trip to Latvia.
The Centre will also announce additional training about environment and sustainable development for high school and vocational school teachers.
The trainings are organised by the TU Institute of Ecology's Sustainable Development Education Centre in collaboration with the Environment. The training sessions are funded by the European Social Fund's programme "Development of the Environmental Education".
