On Wednesday, April 22nd, a well-known Prof. Terry Anderson (Athabasca University, Canada) will be speaking on the topic: "Teaching Crowds - Social aggregations and tools for learning" at the weekly research seminar of the Institute of Informatics, Tallinn University.

Professor Terry Anderson is one of the leading researchers and innovators in the field of online distance education. He is the director of the Distance Education Centre at the Athabasca University, Canada. Among other things, Terry has created the interaction equivalence theorem (http://equivalencytheorem.info), one of the most cited open access books on distance education theory (The Theory and Practice of Online Learning, vt http://cde.athabascau.ca/online_book/) and launched the main top-level open access research journal in the field (IRRODL.org: International Review of Research in Open & Distance Education). Prof.Terry Anderson has been one of the leading activtists in opening access to educational resources, research papers and digital books.
