Mari Kendla, a doctoral student at the Tallinn University Institute of Estonian Language and Culture, will defend her PhD thesis entitled „Eesti kalanimetused: kujunemine, levik ja nimetamise alused / Estonian Fish Names: Formation, Distribution and Principles of Naming“. Her defence will take place in auditorium M-213 (Mare building) on Friday, 12 September at 14:00.

The supervisor of the thesis is Associate Professor Jüri Viikberg, Tallinn University.

The opponents of the thesis are Senior Researcher Vilja Oja, Institute of the Estonian Language and Associate Professor Eino Koponen, University of Helsinki.
