Tiiu Pohl will deliver a lecture entitled "North Korea’s 'Madman
Diplomacy' and Security Dilemma". The lecture will be held in auditorium
A222 (Astra building) on Friday, 19 April at 14:00.The lecture will focus
on the recent military-diplomatic developments on the Korean peninsula and
in the region in general. The North Korean nuclear capabilities as well as
US military involvement in South Korea will be examined. The lecture will
also touch upon the nuclear deterrence diplomacy in previous decades and
the plausible reasons for the irrational behavior of modern-day North
Korea.Everyone is welcome. We also recommend the lecture for the current
and future MA students in our English study programmes of "International
Relations" and "European Studies".The event is also available on
