The public lecture of Studia Generalia entitled "Ending America's War on Drugs" will be delivered by professor Diana DiNitto. The lecture will take place in the auditorium M213 (TU Mare building, Uus-Sadama 5) on April 4 at 16:00.

In efforts to stem the flow of illicit drugs and the incidence of drug use and drug use disorders, the United States has waged a drug war that has taken a tremendous toll on its citizens and others. In particular, the drug war has disproportionately affected people of color and those who are poor. This presentation considers the policies of the drug war and alternative approaches from around the globe to prevent illicit drug use and better help people with drug use disorders, their families, and their communities.

TU Studia Generalia is a series of public lectures delivered by the teachers, researchers and visiting lecturers of TU. Anyone who enters the University building can listen to what prominent thinkers have to say on current topics that affect society, and also participate in the discussion.
