SuperNova Cinema presents short films in November: Croatian Tabor Film Festival

iCal calendarTU’s SuperNova Cinema presents every week in November: films from International Short Film Festival Vilnius Film Shorts 2014, Best Finnish Shorts 2014 and short film programmes from Hungary, Russia and Croatia. Soon PÖFF’s subfestival Sleepwalkers will start.
On 21st November at 20:00 programme of Croatian Tabor Film Festival will be showed as part of PÖFF’s Sleepwalkers short film festival.
The Sleepwalkers country focus will this year turn its attention to Croatia, a place that has been producing a number of brilliant short films over the past few years. The programme will be presented in association with the Tabor Film Festival.
Highlights will include I Hate You, the winner of this year’s Tabor Film Festival Domestic Competition, which sees two teenagers walking through a deserted town on a summer’s night as their mother party.
You can also see The Verdict, which is a documentary set sixteen years after the war. In it several thousand people gathered in the main square of Zagreb to watch a live broadcast of the verdict passed on Croatian generals. It’s a powerful and moving piece of work.
On the last Thursday of the month, 27th November at 18:00 best of Helsinki Short Film Festival 2014 will have its first international premiere outside of Finland.
Film programmes have free entrance, everyone is welcome!
