Krešimir Žažar, PhD, has been employed since 2008 at the Department of Sociology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb. His closer scientific interests are focused on studying subjects in the area of general sociology, the area of epistemology of social sciences and social/sociological theories, social dynamics, and also some problem areas from the phenomenology of modern societies, such as primarily sociology of (regional/local) development. So far, he has co-published 3 books and over 20 scientific and research papers. His extensive, thorough and devoted teaching engagement involves several study courses (for example, "Classical Sociological Theories I", "Theory Construction in Sociology", "Seminar on Selected Topics of Epistemology of Social Sciences", "Model Building in Sociology" etc.) at the undergraduate and graduate levels of sociology studies, thematically dominated by sociological theory. In addition, he conducts the research workshop/course entitled "Qualitative Research Methods - Grounded Theory" at the doctoral level of the study. He speaks English, German, Slovenian and Swedish.
