Choreography students completed an interdisciplinary production in Milan
During two weeks in December, three students from Tallinn University’s Baltic Film, Media and Arts School (TLÜ BFM) from the choreography and IKUMUMU curriculums stayed in Milan, where they participated in the international European project Playing Memories alongside students from various Italian universities. The project is led by the Saint Louis College of Music and takes place in residency format across eight different cities.
The Estonian students – Reti Ann Niimann, Eva Lotta Kliimask, and Kärt Laidma – worked in Milan on the creation and performance of the interdisciplinary production “Storia di una capinera,” which premiered on December 16th at BASE Milano. Niiman and Klimask acted as both choreographers and performers, while Laidma was responsible for video design and also took part as a dance performer.
The process was closely supervised by lecturers from various fields in Italy, while the Estonian mentor was Oksana Tralla.
The production can also be seen in Tallinn at TLÜ BFM’s Mait Agu Hall on December 19 at 5:00 PM. The performance lasts 40 minutes.
