International 3x3x3 Cross-country Skiing Competition

Three countries, three participants per team, three kilometers

Although the winter camp is an “all online” event, this is your chance to participate in some outdoor activities as well. This competition is organised as a distributed skiing challenge, meaning that participants can choose themselves their favorite location for completing it.

Participating teams are made up of three individual skiers who complete a track of at least 3 km on skis anytime between the 29-31 January in any location they choose. Although we encourage that each team should meet and complete the challenge together, it is completely fine that each team member completes the track individually. Each team member will track the completion of the challenge on a mobile application. There will be two awards: first, for the team collecting the most overall distance, and second, for the team completing their trips in the fastest average time per km. Exact details will be provided in the days leading up to the event.

Our intention is to have at least one team from each participating country (Norway, Finland, Estonia).

Please register your team when registering for the winter camp.  You can register a complete team, or as an individual in which case we will match you with potential team members.

In short, what you need to participate:

  • Be ready to complete a trip of at least 3 km on skis anytime between the 29–31 January, anywhere you like
  • Find two other people to do it with you (or let us assign you two if you can’t find anyone)
  • Have a mobile app installed on your phone and track this trip
  • Share your results with the organisers

Happy skiing!

PS: Although it is a requirement that this challenge should be completed with skis, we will not actually control whether you are wearing any skis at the time. So in principle, persons completing this by foot will not be disqualified. However, using any kind of other means of transportation is not allowed.

PS: Because of Corona restrictions, we ask for your understanding that unfortunately no spectators will be allowed along the tracks :)
