The module of History is focused on the crucial topics in the history of Europe and the region. How did people live and think at other times? Why are so many conflicts caused by different understanding of history and how to cope with this? How has our contemporary world come about? – These are some of the questions that you can ask and expand while studying history.

The module consists of the following courses:

These subjects will help you learn many fascinating aspects about the connections of the Estonian region with the historical development of Germany and Russia and global processes. You will also learn about the large scale ruptures and social changes in the more recent periods (e.g. the World Wars, sexual revolution or climate change). The studies evolve around the events and developments in the Baltic region and the world over the last centuries.
