International Master's Programme "Adult Education for Social Change" (IMAESC) is an Erasmus Mundus International Master's Degree joint programme, which is based on the mobility of academics and students, international placements and an international summer school.

Since 2016, academic staff from the Institute of Educational Sciences at Tallinn University have contributed to the programme as lecturers and supervisors, including Associate Professor of Andragogy Larissa Jõgi (the programme's academic coordinator at Tallinn University), Visiting Lecturer in Andragogy Piret Jeedas, Associate Professor of Curriculum Theory Maria Erss, Professor Emerita of Vocational Education Krista Loogma, Associate Professor of Educational Research Meril Ümarik, Junior Research Fellow Andrea Annus, and Associate Professor of Sociology Triin Roosalu from the School of Governance, Law and Society. Additionally, the programme’s organization and international student support were facilitated by Elina van der Toorn.

The University of Glasgow is the lead partner until the end of 2024. The consortium is composed of Tallinn University, the University of Malta, Maynooth University (Ireland), Cyprus Open University and the associated partner university, the University of Sains, Malaysia.

The consortium's Academic Council and the University of Glasgow jointly decided in March 2024 to continue the curriculum and to apply for funding for the period 2026-2032, transferring the management and administration of the programme to the Institute of Education for a new period.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported, taught, and guided our international master's students!
