Introduction
Juhan Kreem studied history at Tartu University and medieval studies at Central European University, Budapest. He defended his PhD in Tartu on the relations of the Teutonic Order with Tallinn in the 15th century. After that he spent a year in Hamburg University as Alexander von Humboldt fellow. Since 1996. he is working as a researcher at Tallinn City Archives.
