Receiving your results

The Test Report Form tells you your IELTS score and will be available 13 days after you have taken your test or 3-5 days if you have taken IELTS on a computer. You can have it posted to you, collect it in person or see it online (it’s available for 28 days after publication).

Candidates can check their provisional results also online: https://ieltsregistration.britishcouncil.org/test-chooser/es?organisation=Tallinn-University

Understanding your IELTS score
The test gives you a score for each section (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking) – the average of these gives you your overall band score.

How long your IELTS score is valid for
Your IELTS score will usually be valid for two years, but you should check the rules of the organisation you’re applying to.

We can send your Test Report Form directly to an organisation you’re applying to

Candidates will receive one Test Report Form (TRF) and up to five additional copies of the TRF can be issued free of charge to receiving institutions. You can order additional copies of TRFs from the Test Taker Portal. You can do this at any time from when you book your test to two years after your test date.

Receiving institutions can also verify IELTS results online, so there may not be a need of additional certificates. The need for TRF should be checked with the institution first.

If additional copies are required after one month has passed from the test date, candidates need to fill in an  Additional TRF's application form  and will be charged 5 EUR per copy. See payment details.

All extra copies of the TRFs will be printed within 1 week.

If you did not receive the score you expected, you can apply for your test to be re-marked. This is called an Enquiry on Results (EOR). You can choose which test sections you want to be re-marked.The fee for this service is 130 EUR, which will be refunded if your score is increased for any section of the test. You need to apply for a re-marking no later than six weeks after the test date, regardless of whether you have taken IELTS on Paper IELTS on Computer. You can submit an Enquiry on Results online from the Test Taker Portal. Alternatively, you can download the Enquiry on Results Form from the download section below and submit it to the test centre where you sat the test. Make sure you attach your proof of payment. Your result can become available on the same day as your application and up to 21 days after your application. The time it takes depends on several factors, including the number of sections you’ve asked us to re-mark. If you have not received a response after 28 days, please contact your test centre.
