Currently, Rein Rebane is working in the European Parliament in the Directorate-General for Translation.

In his lecture he will talk about following topics: study and career opportunities abroad, EU institutions through the eyes of a person who is working there, how to cope with Estonian education in Europe etc.

The open lecture will be held in the room A-242 and it lasts about 1,5 hours. The lecture will be in English.

Rein Rebane has himself said: “In the last years, hundreds of EU officials (and not only from the Parliament) have returned to their old classrooms and talked to thousands of pupils and students. It is an extraordinary chance for youngsters to ask questions about living, acquiring education and working abroad. We can also discuss the importance of different languages and career oppurtunities in the institutions of the EU. At the same time, it is also a possibility to speak openly about many cross-border topics with someone who has seen the EU institutions from the inside for a long time.”

Both students and workers of TLU are welcome!
