Additional admission in August 2024
In August, you can submit admission documents for Crossmedia and Audio-Visual Media (BA) and Documentary Film (MA).
This summer, Tallinn University's Institute of Baltic Film, Media and Arts organizes additional admissions for two bachelor's degrees and one master's degree.
The Crossmedia major is taught in English. Crossmedia is a combination of audiovisual content creation, storytelling and media economics. The study focuses on both theoretical and practical assignments. You will learn how to make films and television material that can be used in an integrated way in print media, events, mobile applications, games and social media. English language skills at least at an intermediate level are required for learning. The tuition fee is €2,250 per semester.
Audiovisual media studies are conducted in English. We offer an international education with a study programme dedicated to film, audiovisual storytelling for different distribution platforms starting from the Internet and ending with cinemas. We believe in a team based film making model with do it yourself approach leaning into creative & indie narrative driven stories and creating live and pre recorded TV to high broadcast standard. You can master the technical field by studying editing, cinematography, lighting, color grading, sound recording and sound design or venture onto the creative track gaining skills in producing, screenwriting, assistant directing and directing. The tuition fee is €2,400 per semester.
Admission to the master's program in documentary film takes place in even-numbered years. In this specialty, we focus on author-centered creative documentary. During the two-year course, we help students find their authorial voice and develop the skills of telling a story based on real life. Each semester, each student makes one short documentary film. The curriculum is in English. Tuition fee 2300€ per semester.
Applications will be accepted on August 1-7. Admission documents can be submitted on August 7 until 12 noon. You can submit admission documents in the admission information system SAIS.
It is possible to submit documents at the university on August 7. On the spot, we expect to bring additional documents from those candidates who, when submitting an application through the www.sais.ee system, cannot obtain education data from national databases, cannot add documents to the application, and also those who do not have an ID card and the possibility of submitting an application online. When coming to the reception desk to submit an application, you must bring an identity document and educational documents if the school was completed before 2004.
Exams take place from 8 to 13. in August.
The English B2 level test can be taken on August 8 at 9:00 a.m
Crossmedia (BA) interviews will take place on August 12 from 10:00. You can also participate in the interview via Zoom, according to the agreement. On-site talks in room N-207.
Audiovisual Media (BA) interviews will take place on August 13 from 10:00. You can also participate in the interview via Zoom, according to the agreement. On-site talks in room N-207.
Creative assignments for bachelor's majors with a deadline are sent to the candidates' email address.
Two interviews are required for the Documentary Major (MA). The first interview will take place on August 8 from 10:00 am. During the conversation, the candidate will receive the content and deadline of the creative task. The second interview will be held on August 12 from 10:00 am. You can also participate in the conversation via Zoom, according to the agreement. On-site interviews in room N-315.
