Asian Studies Module
Asian Studies module consists of four courses (6 ECTS each) covering different aspects related to Asia. You will acquire an in-depth knowledge of the various social and political issues that East Asian and Southeast Asian countries face in the era of rapid globalisation and transcultural dialogue.
The courses are:
- Chinese Literature;
- Asian Philosophy;
- Special Course in Asian Studies;
- Premodern Intellectual History and Culture of China.
The practical purpose of the module is to develop specialists with a broad knowledge of Asian societies and politics and give you necessary skills for analysing contemporary issues pertaining to China, Japan and Southeast Asia.
All the courses in Asian Studies module are interdisciplinary and the issues are discussed in the light of recent historical, social, political, cultural, and economic developments.
In addition to the module our students can take courses offered by Tallinn King Sejong Institute as free electives.
