The international ranking confirms: the field of educational sciences at Tallinn University maintains a high international level
According to the recently published 2023 QS World University Rankings, the field of educational sciences of Tallinn University continues to rank among the top 201-250 universities in the world. The latest ranking also shows that Tallinn University is the highest-ranked university in Estonia in the field of educational sciences.
According to Tiia Õun, the director of the School of Educational Sciences, the result demonstrates the university's reputation in the field of education sciences, both internationally and among Estonian employers.
"The ranking confirms that our educational research is outstanding and our researchers are cited. The international high position is recognition of both our scientists and the partners of university, both in Estonia and internationally," said Õun.
The ranking is largely based on research and its visibility. The evaluation takes into account academic and employer reputation, the number of citations and the H-index. The latter shows the productivity of researchers in writing academic publications. In last year's rankings, Tallinn University’s educational sciences also held the 201-250 position.
