Elīna Buivite - Communication Management alumna, graduated with honours 2020

Communication Management programme at Tallinn University has given me the best background in intercultural communication, media studies and management which now is a great help in obtaining my second Master`s degree in English Philology, focusing on language teaching and methodology. Graduating from TLU I have gained understanding not only on different cultural processes or linguistic identities that might be directly connected to what I am studying now but also business and management insights are proven to be useful.

A definite strength of studies at Tallinn University is LIFE interdisciplinary course, where I got to meet like-minded people from all over the university, work on a practical cause and see our impact in the real world.

One of the best things in the Communication Management programme was the international environment – professors and students from different backgrounds got to share knowledge and experiences. One more thing I have to mention is the great balance of learning theoretically and getting experience to try everything out in practice, looking at real examples, case studies and creating our own strategies, researches and projects. A definite strength of studies at Tallinn University is LIFE interdisciplinary course, where I got to meet like-minded people from all over the university, work on a practical cause and see our impact in the real world.

Enjoying the study process, university environment and also Tallinn itself was one of the reasons for succeeding in studies. Followed up with experienced and supportive professors, that ensure a personal approach to every student, good study programme management led by Professor Anastassia Zabrodskaja, motivating course mates, easy access to materials in the library and online as well as putting in hard-work has resulted in my graduating with an academic distinction.

I am thankful to Estonia and Tallinn University for being so welcoming and providing a great environment for my academic and personal growth and success!
