Tamari Gonashvili - Communication Management alumna, graduated with honours 2020

Tallinn University not only provides a place to gain academic knowledge but also offers opportunities to achieve more and gain relevant skills. As a graduate, I can say that I’ve gained deeper academic knowledge in the various aspects of communication such as internal communication, risk and crisis communication, organizational communication, strategic communication and intercultural communication. One of the highlights of the MA program was the broad curriculum which allowed me to obtain knowledge from a wide range of subjects.

The program has equipped me with the knowledge of PR, marketing, intercultural and organizational communication. Throughout the studies, I’ve advanced quantitative and qualitative research skills which provided me the tools to conduct research for MA thesis in the fields of employer branding and corporate social responsibility.

During the studies at Tallinn University, I had the opportunity to take extra elective courses such as transmedia storytelling theories and methods, corporate social responsibility and inclusive business strategies, and international PR which exposed me to different aspects of the field and contributed to expanding my academic knowledge. Oftentimes during the courses, there had been discussions of the theories that formed a stimulating learning environment for the students. The combination of interesting courses, challenging discussions, and support from the professors motivated me to perform the best I could, which allowed me to graduate cum laude.

After graduating from Tallinn University, I’m confident to say that doing the master’s studies abroad and coming to Estonia were good decisions I’ve made. Master’s in Communication Management introduced me to different perspectives in viewing the communication field and advanced academic knowledge.
