In the upcoming academic year, Tallinn University aims to organise studies physically. To achieve that, the university expects students and employees to be vaccinated. Thus, on 2 and 3 September, everyone interested has the opportunity to get vaccinated at the university.

The vaccination takes place on the premises of the former café of Mare building (on the first floor, next to the information desk). Vaccination takes place from 10 am to 5 pm on both days.

In order to get vaccinated at the university, applicants must register. Then the university and the vaccine service provider Eldred OÜ can take into account the number of people and organise the procedure more effectively. Registration is open until 31 August, 3 pm. The university will send more detailed information and the time of vaccination to all registrants no later than on 1 September.

Katrin Niglas, Vice-Rector for Research at Tallinn University, recommends that everyone who has not yet been vaccinated should use this opportunity. “The more vaccinated students and university staff we have, the more confident we can step towards the beginning of the new academic year," she said. Niglas added that the level of vaccination of the university family is very directly related to how much studies can take place physically at the campus.

Relatives of employees and students can also come to the university to be vaccinated. To do this, they must also fill in a registration form.

Eldred OÜ uses the Pfizer-BioNTech Comirnaty vaccine at the university. Those who receive the vaccination for the first time, but also those who have already received the first dose, can get vaccinated at the university. It is recommended that there should be 5-7 weeks between the first and second vaccine.

Make sure to bring your identity document with you, when coming to get vaccinated. After receiving the dose, you must stay on the spot there, under the supervision of a healthcare professional for 15 minutes.
