Graduate Student Conference in Russian Language and Literatures

On May 8, the opening ceremony of the Estonian–Finnish conference series “Graduate Student Conference in Russian Language and Literatures” (Helsinki—Tallinn—Tartu) will take place at Tallinn University.

The guest of honor of the conference, keynote speaker, and discussant in the literature section is Dr. hab. Oleg Lekmanov, who will deliver a lecture titled “Женская милитаристская поэзия на русском языке. 1914 vs 2022” (“Russian-Language Militaristic Women’s Poetry: 1914 vs 2022”).

Oleg Lekmanov is the author of more than 850 scholarly works. His main research areas are Russian modernism (above all, though not exclusively, the life and works of Osip Mandelstam) and late Soviet unofficial Russian literature. Since March 2022, Oleg Lekmanov has been living in exile. After a two-year stay at Princeton University, he is currently working as a visiting researcher in Helsinki (Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies). In the Russian Federation, Oleg Lekmanov has been designated a “foreign agent.”
