A book "Kirjad Sigridile" was published

Prof Eneken Laanes has edited an annotated volume of Raimond Kaugver's letters from Finnish Continuation War and from the Vorkuta labor camp in 1944–1949. The book "Kirjad Sigridile" is an aesthetically masterful account of mental survival in the Gulag. It can also be read as a volume of love letters or a cultural-historical portrait of an interwar youth, its education and life-world that was drastically transformed by the experiences of war and the Soviet repressions. The 800-page book was published by Under and Tuglase Literature Centre.
