Professor Merja Bauters conducts a discussion about digital change at Opinion Festival
Discussion “How to master digital change?” takes place at the area of Eesti 2035 on 14th of August at 14:00–15:30.
The panel discussion is going to be about how we experience digital change, what we wish from it, can we take control over it and what should be the vision and goal of the change. “The question of whether there are aspects to be feared in the digital revolution will also be discussed,” mentioned professor Merja Bauters.
Panel discussants are TLU Senior Research Fellow in Educational Technology Mart Laanpere, TLU Open Academy Enterprise Relations Expert Ingrid Hindrikson, co-founder of Guaana Edgar Aranov, Hille Hinsberg from Open Knowledge Estonia and lead of communication agency Havas Mailis Timmi. The discussion is moderated by Research Professor in Digital Transformation Merja Bauters.
Digital change will destroy and create practices, end work and bring about employment. It will change how to live, how to learn, how we do work, how we are together in our leisure time. “The change has already started, but currently, we are living in paradigm shift where we concretely feel every day that things and practices transform,” said professor Bauters. She adds that no one has provided a vision where we are heading. Thus, it is time to discuss how people experience the change, what we wish from it, can we take control over it and what should be the vision and goal of the change.
Opinion Festival takes place on 14th and 15th of August in Paide.
