Internet connection
You will be able to access the free network connection called TLU in Tallinn University campus. Most of the cafes in town have free internet connection. All the hotel rooms also have WIFI. You can also use your institute’s eduroam account at Tallinn University.
Printing facilities
The nearest print shops are next to the university building at Narva maantee 21/23 and behind the university building at Tuukri põik 3. Take your documents with you on a memory stick. Printing is also available in most hotels in the city centre.
Post office
The nearest post office is located at Narva maantee 1 (tram stop Hobujaama).
Pharmacies
Can be found in all shopping centers during their regular opening times. The 24/7 pharmacy is located at Tõnismägi 5 (tram stop: “Tõnismägi”) and can be contacted for consultation at +372 644 2282

Conference registration desk and ”emergency line”
If you run into problems during the conference, you are welcome to write eseh2019@tlu.ee (urgent questions please call the conference organizer at +372 56 26 7221) and we will do our best to help you. Registration and information desk is situated on the first floor of Astra building. The opening times of the registration and information desk are at the conference days 08:00-18:00.
Quiet areas
The university’s library is located on the 2nd floor in Astra building (above the registration desk and catering area) – you are not allowed to speak there. You are also welcome to use any library rooms that are open and not occupied by other people. All rooms have a good wireless internet connection. Library is open 21-23.08 at 09:00-15:00.
Passport and Visa
A valid passport is required to enter Estonia. Please make sure that your passport is valid until at least 3 months after your departure date from Estonia. Citizens of European Union countries do not need a visa to enter Estonia. Check the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs website if you are in any doubt. There you will find the latest information about visas and details of Estonian embassies abroad, where they can be obtained.
Estonian Time and Weather
Estonia is in the Eastern European Time Zone: GMT + 3 hours during the Daylight Savings Time in summer. The weather is usually pleasant in June with average daily temperatures between 15 - 21ºC. You might think that Estonia is all about cold, but there are sunny days too! However, at night it might get cool and rain is usual. Therefore, light comfortable clothes are ideal during the day and a jacket may be required for evenings. If you plan on going on one or more of the trips we have planned for you, then make sure you bring a pair of comfortable, water proof shoes.

Currency, Banks, Credit Cards
The national Currency is the EURO. Major international credit cards are widely accepted. Further information about currency and exchange rates on Estonian Bank’s website.
Upon arrival to Estonia you can find exchange points in airport, railway station, harbour and bus station.
Shopping
Shops are usually open from 10.00 until 18.00 on weekdays and on weekends. Larger department stores are open between 9.00 and 21.00.
Best shopping facilities in Tallinn can be found in the city center: Stockmann, Tallinn Kaubamaja, Viru Keskus etc. Many nice boutiques and handicrafts galleries can be found in the Old Town around Raekoja Square.
