ESEH 2019: Local Organization Committee

THE ESEH 2019 in Tallinn is organized by a strong and competent team that already in 2018 was awarded with the Best Bid prize of the Estonian Convention Bureau for bringing ESEH to Estonia.

Main Organizers

Prof. Ulrike Plath

Ulrike is working as a professor for Baltic German studies and environmental history at Tallinn University and as a senior researcher in the Literature Center of the Estonian Academy of Sciences. She is also long-standing director and a current board member of the Estonian Centre for Environmental history, KAJAK. As the head of the Local Organization Committee of the ESEH 2019, she is responsible for the overall setup of the conference, budget, finances and the team work at the local level – all these details and matters that make a conference possible. Dr. Kati Lindström

Kati is an environmental humanitarian working at the Division of History of Science Technology and Environment at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, a board member of KAJAK and the ESEH Regional Representative for The Baltic countries. Being a board member of the ESEH and board/LOC representative in the Programme Committee, Kati has been in charge of communication between the LOC and the ESEH. She has been helping Ulrike in all ongoing questions concerning the conference. Please read more here and here


 

Dr. Linda Kaljundi

Linda is a historian working on medieval and modern historiography, memory studies and visual culture at the Institute of Humanities, Tallinn University. At the ESEH 2019 she is responsible for all excursions (HERE) and sight-seeing events (HERE). Please read more here.


Dr. Kadri Tüür

Kadri is a semiotician working on nature writing. Since the end of 2018, she serves as the head of the Estonian Centre for Environmental History (KAJAK). At the ESEH 2019, her duty has been communication with the publishers (HERE) and our Estonian partners and entrepreneurs (HERE). She has also been helping Kati and Ulrike in all ongoing issues concerning the conference. Sirli Peda

Sirli is the head of Tallinn University Conference Centre. At the ESEH 2019 she is responsible for the main organization of the conference and its finances, she is the main coordinator and is responsible for all practical questions in and around the conference.
