ECCE 2026, the European Conference on Cognitive Ergonomics, was hosted at Tallinn University and brought together an international community of researchers working on cognition, human-centred design, and technology. Through the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM) programme, Elcelina Silva from Universidade de Cabo Verde visited Tallinn to present her doctoral research and engage with scholars and peers from across Europe and beyond.

During the conference, Elcelina took part in the Doctoral Consortium, a forum designed to support early-stage researchers through feedback, discussion, and mentoring. She also presented a research poster that was awarded the Best Poster Award, recognising the quality and relevance of her work. The award was presented by Merja Bauters, who co-chaired ECCE 2026 together with David Lamas, both from Tallinn University’s School of Digital Technologies.

Elcelina’s participation and recognition at ECCE 2026 marked an important step in strengthening collaboration between Tallinn University and Universidade de Cabo Verde. Supported by Erasmus+ mobility, the visit demonstrated how international conferences contribute to doctoral development, amplify emerging research voices, and reinforce global connections in the field of cognitive ergonomics.
