School of Digital Technologies Supports (R)PENSAR in Mozambique
The School of Digital Technologies at Tallinn University will support (R)PENSAR by developing and maintaining its digital presence, strengthening the organisation’s capacity to disseminate its work and access funding opportunities.
The School of Digital Technologies at Tallinn University has committed to supporting (R)PENSAR, a non-governmental environmental education organisation operating in Maputo Province, Mozambique.
(R)PENSAR works at the intersection of sustainability, community development, and environmental stewardship. Its activities include producing construction blocks from recycled glass as an alternative to traditional materials, discouraging deforestation through consulting on environmentally responsible construction practices, and delivering environmental education programmes for students outside formal school settings. The organisation also works closely with local communities to improve livelihoods while minimising environmental impact.
In response to these efforts, the School of Digital Technologies has committed to designing, setting up, and maintaining (R)PENSAR’s website. While modest in scale, this contribution is strategically significant. A structured digital presence is critical for communicating impact, engaging stakeholders, and pursuing funding opportunities in an increasingly digital funding and collaboration landscape.
This initiative reflects a broader commitment to leveraging digital expertise in support of sustainability-oriented organisations, particularly in contexts where resources are limited but impact potential is high.
