Introduction

Merilin Kotta holds a bachelor’s degree in History from Tallinn University, MA and PhD degree in Spanish Language and Literature from Tartu University. As an exchange student she studied Catalan Philology at the universities of Girona, Valencia and Balearic Islands. Her PhD thesis dealt with the writing process in current short stories in Catalan. She works as a Lecturer of Spanish Culture at Tallinn University, she has taught also Spanish, Translation and Catalan Cultural History. She has translated Catalan (Riera, Sarrià), Basque (Uribe, Atxaga) and Mexican (Fuentes) literature.

Supervising of research papers, coordinating subject-related internships
