Introduction

Anne-Mai holds a master’s degree in Educational Technology and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Educational Sciences. She has led several studies and projects and developed e-assessment tools. Anne-Mai was the national project manager for the OECD International Early Learning and Child Well-being Study (IELS) and led the development of the digital assessment tool LAHE for assessing the skills of five-year-old children.
She has also led two collaborative projects between Tallinn University and the University of Tartu. The first produced 101 technology-enhanced games for teaching the Estonian language in kindergartens (LapsEST), and the second developed a digital handbook supporting Estonian language teaching in early childhood education (AlusEST).
Her research focuses on children’s development and assessment. In addition, she teaches courses related to academic writing and quantitative research methods at both the bachelor’s and master’s levels and also supervises students.
