Introduction

Anne-Mai holds a PhD in Educational Sciences and a Master's degree in Educational Technology. She is a researcher and head of development at the Centre for Educational Psychology, leads the project "Assessment Tool and Training for Supporting and Evaluating Learning and Self-Regulation Competencies in Higher Education," and the research group "Assessment and Digital Technology in Early Childhood Education."
She was the national project manager for the OECD's International Early Learning and Child Well-being Study (IELS), and led the development of digital assessment tool LAHE for assessing five-year-old children's skills. She led two collaborative projects between Tallinn University and the University of Tartu: the first produced 101 technology-enhanced games for kindergartens (LapsEST), and the second developed a digital handbook supporting Estonian language teaching in early childhood (AlusEST).
Her research focuses on children's development and its assessment. She also teaches.
