Introduction

Helin Puksand is an associate professor of literacy and special education at Tallinn University. She has a diverse educational background: a master's degree in special education and Estonian philology, and a doctorate in educational sciences. As Helin has a passion for reading and literature, she is continuing her studies in a master's program in literary studies. Helin is the author of several Estonian language textbooks for lower and upper secondary schools. She has participated in developing national curricula for primary and secondary schools. Helin supervises students' reading and writing assignments in special education and teacher training. Her teaching and research focus on language learning for students with different abilities. In her free time, she enjoys reading, walking, knitting, and orienteering. Helin is interested in collaborating on projects that allow her to combine her knowledge of special education and language learning.
